I look like a 12 year old boy with that large weapon! I did well, though. 96/100! Lookit that aim.

Norman and I went to his friend's house one night for dinner.
We made a pizza, ate salad, listened to oldies, and played Skip-Bo.
I got distracted by the candles and the sparkling wine. |

We went to Saarbrücken (the city where Norman studies)
for New Year's Eve. I saw this H and thought of my mom. |

New Year's Eve brunch! Bagel sandwich from the BrunchBox.
Super yum. There's a fried egg in there, and some ham. |

We celebrated the New Year with lots of excitement. First was a loud and crowded apartment party in downtown Saarbrücken, up a few floors. At midnight, the crowds gathered outside and watched as firecrackers flew up without warning from the street. WHEE!
Then we walked to a nightclub which was packed full full full. People were waiting in huge lines outside. Somehow, Norman and I were chosen by the bouncer to go in ahead of the crowds! Some of his friends were waiting inside and other friends never made it in. I shed a tear after paying the 15 euro entrance fee, but by the end of the night I felt that I had gotten my money's worth. We listened to BLARING and bass-heavy house music and watched young people dance in a trance. The club had lots of small cave-like rooms with rough walls and low ceilings. And lots of flashing colored lights. Bad for people who get anxious in small spaces, I think.
I met some people who were keen on speaking English with me all night, so we did that. After many hours of yelling over the music we walked back to our apartment around 5 in the morning. An excellent excellent end to 2010!
