Maquillage

This is what happens when you give someone (or a couple of someones) free reign over your face. Complete with napkin flowers. Can you make out the black lip liner?

Once we'd washed off our eyebrow extensions and fake moles, we got busy making mojitos. Ruth was the bartendress. I loved all the greens hanging out together in the kitchen:

Somehow, the festivities lasted until 5 a.m. I was waiting for the first utterance of "Okay, je vais au lit" (I'm going to bed) and it finally arrived. You know when you're utterly exhausted and yawning every 7 seconds and you finally climb into bed and you would rather be nowhere else? It was like that.

One last week of school before the second winter vacation! Cuckoo, right? This time next week I'll be heading to Paris with Mackenzie where we'll stay in a little apartment on Metro line 2. CHOUETTE!

That's a classic dress-up photo! Kooky and classic at the same time.

I forgot until I saw your spaghetti pic again tonight I wanted to try that dish. What did you add in addition to bacon and tomatos? Olive oil and a touch of basil? (That's so weird - it's hard to believe you've become a culinary adventurist when just a few years ago I don't recall you cooking that much. It's lovely and I'm hoping to learn a trick or two!)

I'll only reiterate once more ... you really need to save this blog for posterity! I started Grandpa's WWII book the other day and it's going to be AWESOME!

Happy Valentine's Day, you Sweetheart!

Tanks! I'm gonna make a blog-book for sure!

For the spaghetti, olive oil and a little salt and whatever else you like (I didn't have basil but that would be tasty. You could put a vegetable in there, too... asparagus? broccoli? peas?) I am not at all a culinary adventurist! At all! I promise. I just try to find room for bacon in every meal. j/k.

XO!
